CRE-ICHEAR will be hosting a training workshop: “Training and Implementation of the 2020 Otitis Media Guidelines and OMapp” targeting primary healthcare professionals and researchers working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

Audiologists, ENTs and Paediatricians based in the Northern Territory working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children
The workshop will feature presentations and hands-on practical skills sessions with Assoc Prof Kelvin Kong (Worimi man, ENT surgeon) and will cover:
- How to navigate the OMapp
- Prevention, diagnosis, management and referral pathways for otitis media
- Hands on training stations on otoscopy, tympanometry, hear screens
- GRADE approach: understanding the evidence of the OM Guidelines
- Research updates
- Networking opportunities for Aboriginal Researchers and those Aboriginal Health Practitioners interested in research
Workshop inclusions:
- 1.5 days’ workshop, plus the opportunity for breakout meetings
- 2 nights’ accommodation (with breakfast and lunch)
- Travel expenses up to $1000
- Hard print copy of the 2020 Otitis Media Guidelines provided to every workshop attendee, plus more for your colleagues
